NEO Scavenger is not a forgiving game. You begin with almost nothing and your first action is surviving an encounter against a dangerous creature. The full version of the game allows you to save your progress, but an in-game death deletes the save. Once you learn how to survive the first few nights, your reward is a challenging sandbox-style game with elements of mystery, survival horror, and text-based nostalgia.
