The AI deals eight different colors of pieces to you (three at a time), and these eight colors have multiple shape configurations. What the AI deals you is random to a degree. It seems like the AI could be more difficult more often by lengthening the time between same color deals—but it doesn’t. When you get on a roll, there appears to be the hint of a systematic method to what the AI deals to you (your selection of three shapes at the bottom of the screen).

To control the madness of the deal, place colors on the board a full hexagon shape away from other colors so that the shapes that are offered have a pre-chosen area where color matches (hexagons) can be made. In other words, keep different colors as far away from each other as possible always. This also means beginning on the outer edges.

When you place larger shapes on the board, make sure that the openings (where more shapes can be added) face the inner open board so you don’t limit the types of shapes you can use to complete the hexagon. For instance, in this screenshot, if you placed a hexagon shape that was only missing one triangle on the edge of the board—with the missing space facing the outer edge—then you’d be limiting the shapes needed to complete the hexagon (you’d need a single triangle and that’s all that would fit there). When you need a specific color and shape, it seems to take forever to receive that order. Try to keep as many options open as possible.

Continuously strategize to create big combos, doubles, and quadras to earn rainbow blocks, but know that it’s not as easy as it seems. There will always be remnants of hexagons left on the board. These fragments and odd shapes force you to shift the areas you set aside for that color. If the AI is kind and gives you the shapes you need, you can manage the chaos and continue to make matches.

When you get a rainbow block, use it to clean up the messy areas so you can continue to make more hexagons. And if you have a good streak going (reaching new high scores), then don’t forget to use the hammer and the bin to keep you going. Watch ads when offered to collect coins. You don’t have to purchase them if you play enough and watch ads.

When you break it down, limited space is the enemy. If you had unlimited space to play, then one round would last forever. So, save up 2,000 coins and unlock the bigger board, and that’ll give you two more rows and two more columns to play in. This means you can achieve longer rounds and higher scores. This also means there’s more room to try to build bigger hexagons right from the start, with at least four colors in their own sections.
