Ladders and Signs can stop the flow of Water. With that in mind, consider having a secret room under a pond—dig out a room, then place Ladders or Signs to block the flow.Furnaces
If you have need to cook or smelt a large load of materials, a Lava Bucket or Blaze Rod is much more efficient than using all your Coal.
• A piece of Coal can keep a Furnace going for 80 seconds.
• A Blaze Rod can keep a Furnace going for 120 seconds.
• A Lava Bucket can keep a Furnace going for 1000 seconds.
It’s a good idea to have a load of Furnaces ready so you don’t have to cook one stack of items at a time. You could even build your own Furnace room.
