Mobile Gaming eGuide - Tips, Tricks, and Strategies for Today's Hottest Mobile Games Eternium

Fight, Loot, Equip, Repeat

Eternium’s controls are all touch-based. Touch a spot on the screen to move your hero. Touch enemies to target them with auto-attacks. Swipe simple shapes on the screen to activate spells and abilities.

The majority of gameplay takes place in villages, forests, caves, and dungeons infested with the undead, dragons, and a multitude of other aggressive creatures. Between battles you can improve your gear, upgrade your abilities, buy and sell items, and loot treasure chests.

Your Hero in Action

Your first task is creating a hero, which can be a bounty hunter, a mage, or a warrior. Bounty hunters and mages are ranged characters, while warriors like to fight up close.

After you create your hero, your adventure begins with a search for companions at The Shores of Hope. Abilities appear on the left side of the screen, next to the commands needed to activate them. The top of the screen displays your hero’s health, the health of your target, and the level map button. When shapes appear on the ground (in this shot, it’s the arrows), it’s a warning about an enemy ability about to be activated.

The level doesn’t end automatically after you defeat the final enemy. You must press a button, which allows you to collect any remaining treasure or explore any side areas you may have missed. Subsequent trips through levels are often speed runs in which your only concern is high-value targets. If you find their locations on your first trip, you won’t waste valuable time hunting for them later.
