There are three personality types for the AI: Balanced, Opportunistic, and Specialized. If you choose Random AI, the AI’s crest lets you know what style of player it is. If you choose Secret AI, the game doesn’t provide any visual cues about the AI’s playstyle.
The Balanced AI plays a conservative game, trying to build a stash of every color of gem token. They’ll buy level 1 development cards before going after the level 2 and 3 cards, then try to sprint to the end of the game.
The Specialized AI focuses on the main two or three colors that appear on development cards and noble tiles. After building its stockpile of gems, it will go for high prestige point level 2 and 3 cards.
The Opportunistic AI likes to play spoiler. It is known for hoarding development cards (displaying a knack for taking one you’re targeting just before your turn), and taking the last gem tokens in a stack.
