Roblox Studio
Reached from the More option from the list of shortcuts at the bottom of the screen, Roblox Studio is the platform players use to create their own games. Players can create purchasable content through one-time purchases called Game Passes and micro-transactions through Developer Products. Developers exchange robux (earned from products in their games) for real money through Roblox’s Developer Exchange System (DevEx). A percentage of the revenue is split between Roblox and the developer.
Robux
Robux is Roblox’s virtual money. It allows players to buy in-game perks, gear, and apparel. You can purchase robux with real money through menus that typically appear where purchases are made. If you don’t have the robux needed to purchase something, a prompt takes you to your purchase options and bundles. You can also earn robux when another player purchases one of your items, or you can earn robux through a daily bonus that comes with membership.
Players
Roblox allows you to buy, sell, and create virtual items. Anyone can buy shirts and pants, but only those with a Builders Club membership can sell them. Only Roblox administrators can sell hats, gear, and packages on the platform. Limited items (like hats) are sold only through the Roblox catalog. They can also be traded with those who have Builders Club memberships.
Groups
Groups can be created only by Builders Club members. Groups allow players to join a group with other players. Group leaders can advertise their group, participate in group relations, interact with other group members, and manage the roles of members. The function of a group is to organize different types of communities and teams, ranging from game development to Roblox clans.
Groups can publish their own clothing and games, and the funds earned as a group from these endeavors enter a group fund. These funds can be used to market the group through advertisements or to run games under the group’s name. Or, the funds can be distributed to the members of the group through the Group Payout system.
