Be sure to complete quests to earn extra gold for upgrades. In the Quests tab, you can purchase quests if they are too hard or if you just want to speed past them. Once you complete all the quests you’ll get the key to open the locked ceiling where “the evil being resides.”
The boss has many weapons at his disposal; they can be destroyed, but to damage the boss you need to watch for his head to peek through an opening. This is when you hit his head to dole out damage. The number of times you must hit him to defeat him depends on the sword you wield.
