Episode 7: Glass Houses

You find an invitation for a party in the ritzy Los Angeles neighborhood of Mount Olympus. The address list makes it worth checking out, so Nicholas and Khai decide to crash the celebration.

Location: Mount Olympus, Los Angeles

Detective: Nicholas Mendoza

Partner: Khai Minh Dao

Case File(s): Power Play

Evidence

Suspects with Warrants: Cameron Briller , Marvin Thomas

Main Objective: Check out party on Mount Olympus.

ObjectiveS:

Enter the House

Bug the Room

Get to the Pool House

Plant the Phone

Survive!

Enter the House

First, the detectives must break into the mansion. As soon as the power goes out, there are three options: a small window on the left side gives access to the gym, a door on the right allows the detective to enter the utility room, or fire a Grappling Hook onto the balcony above and walk through the open sliding-glass door.

Your objective requires climbing to the second floor, but it is a good idea to collect the evidence inside the house first, which involves exploring the lower level too.

Bug the Room

White Van

Enter the garage located next to the utility room. Approach the white van parked on the far side and scan the torn label on the side. This adds evidence to the Power Play file.

Shipping Labels

Located on the first floor, next to the dining room, is an office. Analyze the Shipping Labels that are spread around the desk to log the evidence.

Wall of Photos

Enter the gym on the opposite side of the mansion from the garage and carefully examine the right wall, opposite the weight bench. Open the panel and then interact with the keypad to open the secret door. Photos are pinned to a corkboard on the left wall. Analyze to enter them into evidence.

Hollywood Hideaway

Find Roark’s hidden room in Episode 7: Glass Houses. Use the keypad inside the gym to find the hidden security room.

Take the staircase in the living room up to the second story, circle around the balcony, and climb the corner steps up to the meeting room on the upper floor. Interact with the statue on the coffee table to plant the bug.

Get to the Pool House

A Tactical Gear case sits just outside the room. If you are carrying the Grappling Hook, this is a good time to exchange it for another gadget. Return to the second floor where criminals have made themselves comfortable throughout the mansion.

Four thugs occupy this level. They can each be taken down with a flash of the badge or avoided altogether by hugging the left wall and exiting out to the balcony. On the first floor, two men sit in the living room, another pair starts out in the gym, one guy patrols the deck, and three guys stand out front in the driveway. They all move at some point, so be careful leaving bodies lying around in the open.

Cameron Briller

Two guys sit downstairs in the living room. Analyze them with the Scanner to identify one as Cameron Briller. Approach them from the steps or the front door and flash your badge to get them to freeze. Take them down to score the arrest.

Safe Combination

After taking down Cameron Briller, search his body to find a piece of paper with a number written on it.

Once satisfied with the work done in the mansion, exit through the side door, just beyond the kitchen. Descend the steps and flash your badge at the guy ahead and arrest him.

There is evidence to collect, a suspect with a warrant, and two Achievements / Trophies in between here and the objective. If all of that has already been taken care of, then it is possible to reach the pool house without confronting anyone. Hop over the railing and drop to the ground to the left of the shelter. Move down the steps, cut through the shooting range, and hug the left side all the way to the pool house door.

Walk all the way to the right and hop over the railing. Enter the greenhouse and arrest the lone guy inside. Exit out the other side and run around the wooden fence ahead. Two criminals mess with a ball machine on the tennis court. Flash your badge and take them down. Return to the greenhouse and continue onto the terrace.

Tanks of Tear Gas

After arresting the lone guy in the greenhouse, turn around and look inside the closet in the corner. Analyze the Tear Gas to log more evidence.

Marvin Thomas

At the tennis courts, analyze the two men before flashing your badge to find out that one is Marvin Thomas, who has a warrant out for his arrest. Perform a non-lethal takedown on him.

Four criminals ahead are oblivious to your presence and they are spaced far enough apart that a flash of the badge takes care of each one. At the far end, descend the steps and enter the shooting range.

A lone shooter inside is an easy takedown, as he cannot hear your approach. Feel free to spend some time using the range to test out a weapon or two. Press one of the buttons to cycle a target in or out. There is a Tactical Gear locker inside the building. This is a good time to exchange out gadgets and improve your weapons. Three good gadget choices at this point are the Armored Insert, First Aid Pack, and/or Ammo Pack.

Box of SS190 Cartridges

At the booth left of the lone shooter, find a Box of SS190 Cartridges sitting on the shelf. Analyze it to log it into evidence.

Rifle Suppressors

At the booth right of the shooter, Rifle Suppressors lie on the floor. Scan them in to add them to the Power Play Case File.

SWAT Flak Jackets

Search inside the small corner room to find SWAT Flak Jackets sitting on the metal shelf. Scan them in to log the evidence.

Exit the shooting range and approach the building ahead. Toss a shell casing at the right opening to lure the DJ outside and take him down. Disable the alarm box that hangs on the exterior wall and then take care of the grill cook.

BYOB

Use the BBQ to take out the chef in Episode 7: Glass Houses. After exiting the shooting range, lure the DJ out of the building ahead, take him down, and disable the alarm. Step back and shoot the grill to cause an explosion that kills the cook.

One last criminal stands guard at the pool house, unless he was taken out in the BBQ blast. Take him down and enter the building.

Plant the Phone

Create More Space

Before going upstairs, spend some time destroying the back windows and opening the backdoor. This gives more space and cover for the survival fight.

Climb to the upper floor and enter the bedroom. Interact with the briefcase on the bed to plant the phone.

File Inside Safe

Before planting the phone, open the safe on the left side of the bed to find a file. Scan the file to log the evidence.

Survive!

Criminals pour into the pool house. On higher difficulties, this fight gets tough. Take cover behind the displays, but don’t stay long as bullets tear through them. Slip out to the back deck where there is more space to recover. Defeat the enemies to complete Episode 7.

Hollyweird

Complete Episode 7: Glass Houses.
