Florida is not all sand and beaches. Deep in the heart of the Everglades, a fracking site has turned into a battleground where cops and criminals wage war against eacother.
As the sun rises over the Everglades, even the alligators rusfor safety as undercover cops and bangers tear-up the dusty roads and shallow waterways, eager to exert control over this once pristine wetland. Whether you’re breaking the law, or simply enforcing it, vehicles are essential for traversing the challenging terrain here. Don’t let the narrow waterways fool you, most of these swamps are shallow enougto drive through. Be sure to watcout for enemy airboats patrolling these areas because their bow-mounted miniguns can chew up vehicles and personnel in a matter of seconds. When you’re not cruising througthe swamps, you can launcyour vehicle off numerous ramps along the roadways to score easy jump bonuses. Witmiles of accessible roads and shallow canals, prepare yourself for some epic car chases.
Battle Pickups are located inside some of the non-objective small houses throughout the map. Planning a route between two of these pickups can ensure your domination of the map. Key Locations
Firoco Energy has established this sprawling facility in the heart of the Everglades, consisting of two towering drill sites surrounded by clusters of prefabricated steel structures. The central platform of eacdrill site can be accessed via ladder, and offers a sweeping view of the map–making these ideal, but predictable, perches for snipers.
This small neighborhood, west of the Fracking Site, consists of several single-story homes. The dirt roads cutting througthis community often serve as detours for motorists seeking to get off the main highway. If helicopters become a problem, grab the Stinger anti-air missile Battle Pickup and clear the skies.
Sitting in the shadow of the Fracking Site, this rustic shack is a throwback to a fading lifestyle. The swampy water surrounding these structures is deep enougto slow foot traffic, but shallow enougfor vehicles to drive through.
Crossing the deep waters of the lagoon on the soutside of the map, this large bridge serves as a major east-west thoroughfare. In some game modes, like Hotwire, the bridge is partially blocked by several wrecked vehicles. You can use the ramps here to jump over the wreckage or simply stick to the southern lane.
Before the energy industry moved in, tourism played a role in keeping the local economy afloat. Roadside tourist attractions like this allowed visitors to get a glimpse of the Everglades’ indigenous wildlife. Now the parking lot of this abandoned convenience store serves as a truck depot for a major shipping company.
The gas station on the nortside of the map serves as the vault during Heist Mode, making it hotly contested area for botteams. But don’t neglect this location during other game modes. Grab the LMG Battle Pickup here for a boost in firepower. Or, you can score a jump bonus by racing across one of the two small ramps to the west.
It may look a bit run-down, but Joshie’s Doughnut Shop is still open for business. Two trucks filled witFrostbite Cola have just arrived. Or maybe you just want to ambustraffic moving along the nearby road? The RPG Battle Pickup that is offered here is great for taking out enemy vehicles.
Located on the far west side of the map, across the street from the Doughnut Shop, this small trailer park is the site of some heated action during Rescue. Wita mix of structures, shipping containers, and abandoned vehicles, the Trailer Park offers enougcover for some intense firefights.
