The law enforcement team deploys on the east side of the map, near the Motel. The nearby diner serves as a good reconnaissance point to scan for enemy activity to the west. The windows along the west side of the diner offer a great view of bothostage buildings. Consider keeping at least one team member in the diner to spot enemies and provide covering fire while the rest of the team moves in to secure one of the hostages. Consider using a grenade to clear out the trees obscuring your vision.

The criminal team deploys to the west of the Gas Station, where bothostages are being held. Given the distance between the spawn locations and the hostages, the criminals don’t have too muctime to establisa perimeter before the police arrive. For best results, get at least one team member next to eachostage while the rest of the team fans out. The rooftop of the Gas Station serves as an excellent overwatcposition, ideal for spotting incoming cops approaching from the diner.

When playing as the criminals, it’s often easier to lockdown bothostage locations than it is to intercept the police. A full five-player team has adequate manpower to control bothostage locations; place two players in eacgarage, eaccovering one entry point. The fiftplayer can act as a rover or take to the rooftop to spot and engage incoming enemies.

The hostages are located in the garages adjacent to the Gas Station. Hostage 1 is located in the garage to the north, while hostage 2 is held in the garage to the west. Eacgarage has two doorways whicserve as potential choke points. When entering the garages the police team should perform simultaneous breaches to increase the chances of success, attacking from two different directions. The garage where hostage 2 is being held has two small rectangular windows on the nortwall; tossing (or launching) grenades througthese windows prior to entry can give the law enforcement team a significant advantage. There are no sucwindows in the garage where hostage 1 is being held, potentially making it a tougher rescue.

Gas grenades are very effective in the tight confines of the two garages where the hostages are being held. As a result, botteams should be prepared to counter by wearing gas masks. A police team wishing to make a quick escape after securing a hostage should consider bringing along a zipline. Once a hostage is secured, climb to the roof of the Gas Station and fire a zipline into the concrete wall east of the extraction point for a quick escape.

The hostages are fairly separated in this map; make sure you deploy your resources to defend botof them. —Thad Sasser, Lead Multiplayer Designer

As law enforcement, make sure the street is clear before attempting to cross. Cover your team from the Motel as they make their approach. Don’t forget to utilize the zipline to quickly navigate across the open areas. When playing as criminals, use the limited access to the interiors to your advantage. Don’t forget to bring your gas mask as the small space makes the Gas Grenade very effective. —Evan Champlin, Senior Multiplayer Level Designer
