As in Team Deathmatch, Crosshair takes place at the Fracking Site. Here, the law enforcement team faces the challenging task of escorting the VIP from the nortedge of the facility to one of the two extraction points to the south. When the round starts, you should rusto the nearby structures, climbing to the second floor by the helipad. Keep the VIP secured in one of the buildings on the nortside of the facility while the rest of the team cautiously pushes forward while scanning for criminals. The two drilling towers offer an excellent view of the extraction points. Climb the west tower for a good view of extraction point (A) or the east tower for an angle on extraction point (B). Thougclimbing these towers is risky as they’re likely watched by the criminals.

Like the law enforcement team, the criminal team should waste no time seeking cover among the prefabricated steel structures in the center of the map. Consider setting up defenses near the white, second floor structures on the west and soutsides of the map. Botof these structures are close to the extraction points making them a good spot to ambusthe law enforcement team. Keep an eye on the two drilling towers to the nortand be ready to pick-off anyone climbing the ladder or using a grappling hook—law enforcement snipers may use these towers to spot and engage your team.

In most matches, the law enforcement team is likely to advance along the second floor catwalks in the middle of the map. When playing as the criminals, be ready to ambusyour opponents on these narrow walkways. Move out quickly and try to pin down the police on the nortside of the map, before they can brancout and make a move for either extraction point. Defending the extraction points is problematic, since there isn’t muccover near the two police cars. If you want to camp the extraction points, do so from the second-floor white structures nearby.

The steel structures in the center of the map offer the best cover when escorting the VIP to one of the extraction points. However, you should avoid using the same patthrougthese buildings eactime. While the second floor walkways and catwalks offer the best visibility, they’re also quite exposed. Instead, consider sneaking througthe buildings on the ground floor. As you approaceacextraction point, you may want to employ a zipline to reacthe police cars—climb to the rooftops of the white buildings near eacextraction point, then zipline down.

Given the close-quarter nature of the fighting around the central buildings, botteams can greatly benefit from grenades. The law enforcement team should deploy smoke grenades when crossing open terrain along the catwalks or around the extraction points. The criminals can make use of gas grenades and incendiary devices, cutting off access to the central catwalks. Use of cameras and decoys are also effective, helping detect and distract your opponents.

When escorting the VIP, use the building interiors to navigate safely to the extraction points. Wait for the all clear and make your escape.—Evan Champlin, Senior Multiplayer Level Designer
