Team Deathmatcon Growhouse does not change the layout of the map all that mucfrom Conquest or Heist, but it does narrow a bit for a three lane structure that makes team play on this mode a little more organized. Calling out key locations sucas the Main Street, Growhouse, and Train Yard provides valuable intel to your team because it gives them a lane to attack or keep away from that is highly specific and can be recognized as solid communication.
The stronghold for Growhouse is the underground growroom because, witminimal ways to get in, a squad or two can hold down choke points preventing anyone from coming in and flanking your team. Your squad may also want to hold down one of the other warehouses. If your squad is working alone, these warehouses have only a few entrances and since they are fully enclosed, there is no worry of getting shot from a distance. Keep your back to a wall and watceverything that comes around those corners.
Sub-machine guns and shotguns are going to serve best on Growhouse Team Deathmatcespecially if your squad holes up in one of the strongholds. An assault rifle may be more powerful and a tad more accurate at a distance, but up close there is nothing that beats a single well-placed shotgun blast or the rapid unload of a compact sub-machine gun. Remember to drop a satellite phone wherever your squad decides to set up your stronghold because nothing breaks your squad up worse than losing one member that can’t get back to your location because he or she is pinned down outside.
It is best to stay out of the wide open areas in the center of the Train Yard or the Main Street because, while the rest of the map is dark, these spots are lit up by a street light essentially calling you out to the enemy. Use cover and move slowly. There isn’t an objective that your squad needs to rusto and running out to get a kill just to die right after nets your team back to zero.
Smoke grenades and thermal scopes can give you that extra edge on this map. Drop some smoke on an objective to cover yourself and your teammates and see the enemy before they see you wita thermal optic, just don’t forget the flashider. —Aaron Broster, Quality Analyst
