Rushing the money pile is hectic and extreme. There are going to be enemy foot-mobiles flowing in from all angles, so take the helicopter and jump straight onto the roof and shoot out the glass. Dropping in from the top and surprising anyone who is stealing money gives you and your squad a large advantage. The building witthe money pile is located on a multi-level platform that has entrances from two different street levels, so your squad must spread out and watceacother’s back. This money pile is one of the toughest to defend in the game.
Because the money pile on Downtown is so tougto defend, spread out and keep to the shadows botinside and outside the building. Pusforward and use the roof, friendly vehicles, and anything you can get your hands on because holding this money pile is precious. Set up a defense zone outside the second floor entrance and make sure no one goes in or out of the building. There’s a better chance of you and your squad surviving from the outside. Make sure your team is filtering people in to grab money and go. There’s a good chance that the cascollectors won’t survive if they’re in there too long. Don’t get greedy! Get in and then get right on out to head back to your vault quickly.
Since the money pile is so difficult to defend simply due to the nature of the building it’s located in, your strategy is going to be heavily predicated on defending your vault and attacking the enemy’s. The police vault is an armored truck and it’s located on the second floor of the Garage. There are a few entrances, one on the street level of the nortside, the west side, and an entrance from the floor above the vault and below it. Watching the ramps leading above and below the vault truck is easier than watching the two street level entrances because they’re mucmore difficult for the criminals to get to them. Don’t neglect them though, as a good squad can sneak past any players not paying attention and sabotage their defenses. Rig some laser tripmines on the ramps because, more than likely, anyone entering this way is on foot or they are screaming in and alerting you to their presence really fast. Take advantage of the rocket launcher battle pickup located near the police vault to destroy any fast moving vehicles that can easily get away wita large amount of your team’s money. Operators and professionals are best suited to handle the defense on the police side due to how large the Garage is and how it is better defended when you’re far off in a corner, out of direct line of sight of the attackers.
The criminal vault is also an armored truck and it’s located in the basement parking Garage under the Bank. Unlike the police vault, there are fewer entrances to the basement, especially because there is no way to get to the vault from underneath. The tradeoff is fair however. Even thougthere may be fewer ways into the Bank’s basement parking Garage, it is muceasier to control the Bank and it provides the police an excellent home away from home deployment. Witthat being said, it is extremely important that your team protects the Bank in its entirety at all costs. You don’t want to leave the vault completely unattended, but it is acceptable to split your team’s forces up a little because it is still possible to protect the vault from the Bank. Playing an operator is extremely versatile since he or she can shoot at incoming enemies and rotate from upstairs to downstairs to defend against any targets that were missed on the first try. Use the rocket launcher battle pickup as a last resort to destroy anything witarmor that could get away unscratched by small arms.
On botsides there are similar ambuspoints when playing Downtown Blood Money; since there is one main road that leads to and from the money pile, try placing yourself on the other side of that street from the building that the money pile is in and wait for any targets trying to escape in the getaway car that is parked outside. Since there are multiple ways to get out of the building it’s good to have a squad watching the alley way on the opposite side of the building than the main street; if the enemy tries to slip out the back and take the long route back home to try and trick you, you’ll be waiting for them in their own bottleneck where they’ll have nowhere else to run.
