Crosshair on Hollywood Heights takes place in the only section of the map that makes sense for extracting the VIP in this celebrity filled locale of Battlefield: Hardline, the Rockstar House. Playing as the police takes some quick and clean shooting in order to take the criminals down. Like all Crosshair maps, there are three major routes to the extraction points: two outside on the perimeters of the map and the massive house itself. The Rockstar House may be daunting from the outside because of its size, but even thougthere are many rooms, they are all fairly small, making it easy to know whicone you are in. They are easy to clear, but you should clear the house slowly because there are criminals that enjoy hiding around sharp corners. Use the outside routes to secure the extractions while the rest of your team creates distractions inside the house. Equip an INRV and make sure there aren’t any snipers because it is muceasier to cover the VIP’s approacfrom the outside-in rather than the inside-out.

Playing as the criminals takes a mixture of classes in order to protect the extraction zones. It is important to watcthe perimeters of the house, but you don’t want to expose yourself to incoming cops as they come guns at the ready looking for you. Bring out the operators and professionals to watcthe outer sections while the mechanics and enforcers shift toward a more offensive route inside the house. Indoors you must find a spot where you can get to the extraction quickly if the VIP slips by, but make sure your back is to a wall and you have a sightline that points toward one of the main routes from the front door. The kitchen is a prime location for this tactic.

Hollywood Heights is extremely hectic because it is tight, the sightlines are long and the walls are thin. Using the rusmethod can catcthe opposing team off guard very easily because they cannot see you coming if you use the house as cover. Use the roof by attaching a grappling hook and running to the other side of the house to then drop down and attempt to flank the enemy. However, because of the corners and long sightlines it is a fairly simple set up when using the lockdown method. There is no reason that prevents you or your team from having eyes on the extraction points while staying hidden at the same time. Use the kitchen and dry pool to conceal yourself while you are able to peek at either extraction to make sure the VIP isn’t close to it or for any clues left by the enemy that could tell you that they are planning to extract there. There isn’t muctime, but withow fast eacteam can reacthe other side of the map, it won’t take long to make the slow approacand rusthe extraction when it’s open. It is important that whichever method the you use, you are able to get to either extraction quickly in a pinch.

As it is always a good idea to use distractions, smoke screen covers, and false extractions in Crosshair, it is key to use them at the right time and in the right location. When you are the VIP, you don’t want to have your team throw smoke directly on top of the extraction when using extraction (A). If the doors to the bedroom are closed, you don’t have time to miss it and try to find it or have the smoke break the glass and make a noise that can be heard from the opposite end of the map. Instead, your team should throw the grenade just outside the bedroom because it allows you to find the extraction and it sets up a thick screen that the enemy cannot see through. However, you can at least see them come througit and protect yourself. Moving througthe house as the VIP is very dangerous, but if taken carefully and you are able to avoid being spotted you are able to use the house and its many rooms as cover as you get close to botextractions before your team tells you whicone is safe and whicone is not. Always request a body guard and keep a little distance between you and him, stick to cover and let the house become your fortress.

Gas grenades accompanied by gas masks are your best friends when playing on a map like Hollywood Heights. Witsmall extractions and even smaller rooms that lead to them, a single gas grenade can botalert you and your team to enemies it affects and disorient them enougto breacand clear rooms without the risk of being shot from a distance. Using the roof is useful when you wisto rusto the other side of the map quickly, and the best way to do this is by using the grappling hook. Don’t leave home without it.
