Episode 2: Checking Out

As Leo flees the meeting, take off behind him—sprinting up to the next floor of the parking garage. Two nearby criminals are easily taken down with a flash of the badge.

Apprehend Leo

Just ahead, Leo abandons his car and runs inside the building. Meanwhile, several criminals have entered the garage and hinder the pursuit. It is possible to cuff the closest suspect, but at that point, it becomes a firefight. Use the vehicles as cover and work your way through the open door.

Follow Leo up the stairwell, down the hall, and into the laundry facility. Tag the five enemies inside. These guys can be dealt with in three ways: straight on with a gunfight, stealthily with well-placed shell casings and non-lethal take downs, or not at all with distraction. Non-lethal take downs net the player the most points, so whenever possible, that is the way to go.

After some time passes, two criminals patrol the previous hall. Hurry through the room to avoid the reinforcements or grab more points by taking them down. A Tactical Gear case sits inside a small break room up the side steps.

Exit out the far side and follow Leo out to the hotel’s pool. Around every turn, use the Scanner to spot upcoming hostiles. As you pass the first two pools and concession area, the criminals can be arrested with stealthy movement.

As you approach the final outdoor area, you see a gunfight in the lower level. Until noticed, the combatants pay no attention to the detective. If Expert Score is not a concern, pick them off from the upper vantage point. It is possible to hop down and take cover behind the nearby planters. From there, the T62 CEW can be used as criminals near your location. It becomes necessary though to leave the safety of this protection and hunt the baddies down. Whatever strategy you use, the goal is to exit out the door in the far-right corner.

Follow the hallway to the right and descend the stairwell to the first floor. Enter the door to the left to find the hotel lobby. Seven men search the room with an eighth found on the street outside.

Immediately upon entering, flash your badge at the two men just inside. Keeping them both in check, cuff them before using the Scanner to tag the criminals near the front door.

Walk around to the right and arrest two more suspects as they begin to move away. A lone hostile walks the circular staircase. Use shell casings to draw him closer to your position in the hallway and arrest him as he investigates. Now it is safe to freeze and arrest the two men at the hotel entrance. Cuffing the final criminal outside maximizes the possible points.

Before heading upstairs, explore the first floor. A Tactical Gear case rests behind the reception desk.

After finishing up downstairs, run up the stairs and enter the manager’s office to find Khai and Leo.

Escape the Lobby

Look over the left railing as a new group of enemies enters the hotel. These guys are already on high alert so be careful taking them on.

In order to remove Leo from the hotel, these guys must be taken care of. This can be done with a big gunfight from the balcony above or by stealthily taking each one down. Using non-lethal means can be tough as there is usually another suspect nearby. Use distraction to move them around and flee to another location if spotted. The downstairs office is a great place to hole up and it allows the player to zap incoming hostiles with the T62 CEW.

Get in the Truck

More criminals pull up in a truck outside. Once everyone has been taken care of, enter the driver seat.

Meet Dawes

Drive the truck left to the second stoplight, turn right, and follow the road onto the highway. Criminals continually attempt to bring your vehicle to a stop. Avoid what you can, but do not be afraid to plow through them. When you reach the trailer that spans the width of your lane, keep the accelerator pressed and drive right through. Just ahead, the detectives meet up with Dawes.
