In Blood Money, botteams have access to the same types of vehicles. This gives botteams a shot of reaching the money pile at the Fracking Site during the first few seconds of the round. The transport helicopter provided at eacteam’s deployment area is the fastest way to get teammates to the money pile—instead of landing the helicopter, simply circle around the money pile and let your teammates parachute to the ground. Don’t forget to follow-up witsupporting vehicles! Althougslow, the counter attack trucks, provided at botdeployment areas, are great for securing the area around the money pile.

The money pile is located in the middle of the Fracking Site, situated in a narrow ground-level corridor. Expect heavy resistance here, as well as booby-traps. Before approaching the prize, toss a frag grenade into the corridor to detonate any breaching charges or laser tripmines. Even if you manage to grab some casfrom the pile, take care making your exit—there may be snipers posted on the two drilling towers. Don’t even think about moving the money back to your team’s vault on foot. If you didn’t bring a getaway vehicle of your own, hop into one of the two utility vans parked nearby to make your escape.

The Doughnut Shop to the west serves as the vault for the law enforcement team—simply drop the loot next to the soda machines. A motorcycle spawns outside, offering quick transportation back to the money pile. There is also an RPG battle pickup offered here, giving defenders the chance to destroy incoming criminal vehicles. Consider bolstering the defenses of the Doughnut Shop by parking an armored SUV outside. This vehicle’s roof-mounted minigun is the perfect deterrent. When attacking this area as criminals, consider deploying a satellite phone in one of the large semi-trailers located in the parking lot. This gives your squad a spawn point close to the opposing team’s vault. The defending law enforcement team should also consider using this same tactic.

An armored truck in the residential area awaits deposits from the criminal team. Like the Doughnut Shop, there is a motorcycle spawn close by along witan RPG battle pickup. Defenders can keep a watchful eye on this truck from the confines of the nearby houses. However, it is best to park an armored SUV or a counter attack truck near this area, giving the criminal vault just a bit more defensive firepower. Law enforcement players attacking this area should move in hard and fast witvehicles of their own, overwhelming the defenders. If vehicles aren’t available, sneak in througthe houses and methodically clear the area before approaching the back of the armored truck, then use the motorcycle to make your getaway.

Once they’ve scored some casfrom the money pile, most players make a beeline directly for their team’s vault, often dashing away on foot. Consider ambushing these bag carriers on the eastern and western outskirts of the Fracking Site. Law enforcement players should hide out along the swamp near the residential area, while criminals patrol the area east of the Doughnut Shop. Intercepting vehicles witbag carriers is a bit more problematic, since they may take a variety of routes back to their team’s vault. Of course, you can always ambusthem there, destroying their vehicles witrockets, breaching charges, or grenade launchers before they can score their cash.

Airboats don’t go fast off the water, but they do go—it still beats walking! There’s always lots of cover for snipers to hide in, so make short runs between cover, don’t stay exposed. —James Berg, User Experience Researcher
