Description: Alluvion’s wine-dark seas will soon claim secrets the A.R.C. could not uncover in time.
Game Mode: Warzone Assault
Objectives
Objective 1: Garage
Attack
The Garage is a tough nut to crack, particularly if it’s well defended. Starting in the Yard, attempt to attack the Garage from the Roof or second floor. Sprint up the earthen ramp beneath the Tanker, then jump and thrust toward the Garage to clamber onto the Roof. From the Roof you can fire down through the circular skylight before dropping in. Remember, the Garage can be contested from the second floor and basement. Establish a foothold on the second floor before pushing down into the basement. Instead of just hunkering down in the Garage, try to stem the flow of defenders approaching from the Armory—patrol the area between the Garage and the Armory with a Warthog or Ghost while your teammates secure the Garage.
Defend
The attacking team continually spawns in the Yard, applying consistent pressure against the Garage from the outset of the battle. Instead of trying to confront the attackers in the Yard, get inside the Garage as soon as possible and get ready to defend—rapid-firing close-quarter weapons are ideal. Most attackers are likely to rush in through the basement, so consider holding out on the second floor. But watch out for attackers dropping down from the Roof through the circular skylight. The narrow ramps leading up from the basement are chokepoints—make sure you have a line of sight on these ramps. If your team can withstand the first few minutes of the attack, consider deploying a few vehicles to confront the attackers in the Yard. But never leave the Garage unoccupied—you need at least one Marine or Spartan in the Garage at all times to prevent it from being captured.
Objective 2: Armory
Attack
Immediately after the Garage is captured, waste no time making an aggressive push toward the Armory. If you act quickly, you can catch the defenders off-guard. But if frontal assaults on the Armory are unsuccessful, attempt to flank through the Tunnel Storage, gaining direct access to the Armory Deck—use a Spartan Charge to destroy the barrier. Supplement flanking attacks by deploying vehicles—send them through the Tunnel to encircle the Armory, preventing reinforcements from occupying the structure. By extending the fight into the defending team’s Yard, your team disrupts the flow of enemy traffic between the base and the Armory, giving your team a better chance of securing the objective.
Defend
Of all the objectives, defending the Armory is the most difficult. But your team can take steps to slow down the attackers. Instead of camping in the cramped interior of the Armory, step out onto the Deck to score some long-range hits on the approaching attackers. The attackers are most vulnerable when crossing the open terrain between the Garage and the Armory. Flanking attacks are perhaps the most threatening, so occupy the Tunnel to block such maneuvers—parking a Scorpion or Wraith in the Tunnel is always a good deterrent. If you can block access to the Tunnel, you force the attackers into making frontal assaults. Remember, time is on your side—if you can hold out for six minutes, your team wins.
Objective 3: Base/Core
Attack
Capturing the Armory exposes the Enemy Core in the Home Base. But time is ticking, so you need to act fast. At this late stage, vehicles are essential for pushing into the base—use vehicles like the Scorpion, Wraith, or Mantis to assist during the assault. While these vehicles can’t gain a line of sight on the Core itself, their firepower is crucial for establishing a foothold inside the Home Base. If nothing else, vehicles act as a deterrent, drawing fire away from your team’s Spartans while they attack the Core. Rapid-firing weapons like the SAW or explosive weapons like the Rocket Launcher are ideal for taking down the Core. But keep an eye on the surrounding doorways—consider tasking at least one teammate with watching these entrances while the rest of the team hammers away at the Core.
Defend
If the Armory looks like a lost cause, let it fall and consolidate your forces at the base. This is a much easier position to fortify because there are only two large entrances, which serve as chokepoints. Park a Scorpion, Wraith, or Mantis just inside each Base Gate and use their powerful weapons to mow down attackers. Keep these vehicles inside the Home Base, where they’re less likely to be harassed by enemy aerial vehicles—make the attackers bring the fight to you. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t attempt a counteroffensive. The attackers are vulnerable when exiting the Armory and rushing across the Yard. Harass these incoming Spartans with infantry and fast-moving vehicles like the Warthog or Ghost—close air support from a Banshee or Phaeton can be a game changer. All enemy ground vehicles must advance through the Tunnel, so consider making a stand there with heavy weapons to deny the attackers the firepower they need to push into your Home Base.
