New to Halo 5: Guardians is the Requisition System (REQ System) which rewards you for your time spent in Halo 5: Guardians’ multiplayer modes. You earn REQ Points after each match in Arena or Warzone multiplayer which can then be used to purchase REQ Packs containing a variety of Requisition Cards (REQ Cards) in the form of unlockable weapons, armors, vehicles, and more. With more than 1,000 REQ Cards available for players to collect there’s an unprecedented amount of choice, creating opportunities for all-new strategies and tactics on the battlefield.
REQ Cards
The REQ system rewards cosmetic and game-impacting requisition cards which are further broken down into two types: Permanent and Single-Use. Permanent REQ Cards can be used an unlimited amount once they have been collected by players. The types of REQ cards that are permanent are: loadout weapons, helmets, armor, emblems, visors, player stances, assassinations, armor mods, certifications, and weapon skins. Some REQ Cards are one-time use cards that disappear after they have been equipped. These are typically powerful cards. Types of REQ Cards that are single-use are: power weapons, vehicles, power-ups, and boosts—consumable XP and RP boosts are mode specific and can be used in both Arena and Warzone.
REQ Card Breakdown

Energy Cost: Activating REQ Cards requires the expenditure of Energy during Warzone matches. The more powerful the card, the higher the Energy cost. Energy is earned by achieving new REQ Levels—defeat opponents, eliminate Bosses, and complete objectives to earn new REQ Levels.
