Dress To Impress

Location: Westminster

This memory starts where Jacob left the Gladstone’s carriage (1) in Westminster at the end of the last memory. When you reach the carriage, you find a disguised Frederick Abberline sweeping the street. Speak to him to begin the memory.

Jacob tells the detective that he has an invitation to the Queen’s ball tonight and that there’s to be an attack. He asks Frederick if he can smuggle some weapons inside to help him prevent it. He tells Jacob that he needs a Royal Guard’s uniform in order to that pull off.

Current Objective: Reach St. Martin Church

When you enter the street near where Abberline was sweeping, look up to the sky to spot a green marker at the top of the church steeple (2) across the street. Rope Launch to the steeple.

Current Objective: Search for royal guards

Once on top of the steeple, press / to search for Royal Guards.

Current Objective: Knock Out a Royal Guard

Challenge: Do not kill anyone

Look down to the west at Wellington Barracks. You see five orange blips appear on screen. These are royal guard locations. You only need to steal one of their uniforms. Picking the easiest guard is key.

While on the very top of the steeple, acquire a Rope Launch lock-on on the edge of the Wellington Barracks’ southeast rooftop (3). Zipline there. Follow the roofs to the westernmost edge (4). Activate Eagle Vision to spot the police in the area. You also find a Royal Guard to the north and one to the south. The royal guard we have our eye on patrols the area to the north.

Zipline to the wooden platform (5) on the west wall inside the small courtyard. Jump to the top of the short wall (6) just above the two policemen (A) & (B).

From this perch, wait for the royal guard (C) to the north to walk toward the courtyard you’re squatting over. Prepare to throw a smoke bomb. When the guard passes under you and enters the courtyard, drop the smoke bomb close to his feet. Quickly drop down and kidnap him.

Now simply walk your kidnapped victim out the main north exit (7) past all the cops. Continue walking him across the street (while avoiding police or Blighters passing by) and walk him directly into the park (8). Look around with Eagle Vision to make sure no police or Blighters are around and then knock him out.

Current Objective: Steal a royal guard uniform

With the royal guard knocked out on the ground, inspect his body and loot it for the garments.

Current Objective: Hide the body of the royal guard

Challenge: Hide the body in a carriage

Now to fulfill the Challenge, pick up the royal guard and walk through the park heading east to avoid police and Blighters on the street and sidewalks. Continue east until you see a covered carriage in the street where you can hide the unconscious body. You could always put the guard down and hijack one as it goes by, but you can usually find a parked one near Saint Martin (2).

Current Objective: Speak with Abberline

Resist the urge to kill any Blighters you may randomly see on your way back to where you left Abberline (1). It would be a shame to waste all that hard work on not killing anyone only to lose the Challenge because of a lowly Blighter. Return to Abberline and talk to him to complete the memory. Jacob hands over the uniform and Frederick promises to meet Jacob on the rooftop of Buckingham Palace.
