Street Racing

Street Racing

Each race, you are either racing against other drivers, trains, or the clock. No matter what you are racing against you want to have the lead.

Taking the Lead

In Lap and A to B races, you start in the back of the starting lineup. Use a well-timed boost to split the two front runners right away, using your cart to ram them to the left or right if necessary.

Taking the inside of the turn and then ramming the other carts outward is extremely effective. When taking corners, don’t be afraid to hit a small post or other small object, these won’t slow you down enough to make them worth avoiding.

Keeping the Lead

Once you are in the lead, watch the Mini-Map to get a sense for how close the other drivers are. Don’t get too locked in on the map, doing so may cause you to crash, a surefire way to give up your lead. When you begin to see the front of another driver’s horse at the bottom of your screen, try to force them into a carriage on the road, or cut them off at the turn.

The Races

There are four different types of races. While there is no level suggestion for completing the races, you still gain a benefit from being higher level and having upgrades researched for your carriage.

Lap Race

Lap Races pit you up against three other drivers, racing to finish all three laps first.

Exotic Race

Its horse vs. machine in the Exotic Races. Your goal is to reach the train station before the train arrives, following all of the checkpoints along the way. The exotic race is much like the A to B race, however instead of racing from point to point against drivers, you are racing a train.

Triathlon

Starting out in a cart, you race down the road, until you have to jump off. Then you’ll be free running, climbing, and taking Leaps of Faith to follow the check points. When approaching the start of a running checkpoint, climb to the roof of your carriage, then free run off of it and into the checkpoint.

A to B Race

An A to B race is a non-looping race, going from one point on the map to the other. This is a competitive race, so you will be racing against three other carriage drivers. View the amount of checkpoints left on the top left of the screen to keep track of how close you are to the finish line.
