An Abominable Mystery

Location: St. James’s Park, Westminster

Talk to Charles Darwin (1) in St. James’s Park in Westminster. He’s near the pond along the north shore. He wants you to investigate a strange flower that has appeared in London.

Objective: Investigate the 3 toxic plants

Challenge: Aim and Shoot at a Templar inside the flower’s pollen

Challenge: Neutralize a pursuing cart with the flower effect

Look westward down the pond’s shoreline and you see three colorful clouds in the distance. The closest one is through an opium cloud near a Gazebo (2). Inspect the plant (it glows white through the cloud in Eagle Vision).

The next closest cloud to check out is near the bridge to the west. Investigate the flower (3) on the shoreline beside the bridge.

The final flower (4) is through a large crowd near a pathway intersection at the west end of the pond.

This is where you finish the Challenge. Defeat a Templar in this cloud using a firearm before inspecting the flower.

Objective: Locate the source

After investigating all three flowers you must now find out who put them there. Look south for the colorful cloud in the distance and the green blip that states, “60 m.” You find a Blighter driving a wagon full of the flowers.

Objective: Steal the carriage

Take the wagon (5) next to where the flower wagon was parked and use it to chase the Blighter out the south exit and through the Royal Guard compound across the street.

By the time the flower carriage (6) enters the narrow street across from the Royal compound you are able to catch up to it. Jumping to the rooftop is difficult in the slow motion effects of the toxic cloud. We suggest Quickshooting the driver to take over his carriage.

Objective: Reach Darwin

Talk to Darwin who now stands near the road on the north tip exit out of St. James’s Park (7). He tells you the real deal with the hallucinogenic cloud you’re carrying and directs you to a place to deposit the toxic material.

Objective: Reach a safe place

Allow Darwin to enter the carriage and follow the route across the bridge to the area in Southwark (8) to dispose of the carriage.

Objective: Defend the carriage

Three Blighter carriages attack from behind when you enter the bridge. Swerve back and forth so they cannot pass and ride for extended periods of time in your toxic cloud. This gets rid of them and fulfill the second challenge. Shoot them if they pass you.

Objective: Reach a safe place

Once the enemy is dealt with, enter the Reach marker at the College Wharf (8). Stop the wagon next to the dynamite crates.

Objective: Sabotage the cart

Ignite the crates or shoot the crates from a safe distance to sabotage the cart and complete the memory.
