Assassin's Creed Syndicate Guide › Foreword

Foreword

“It has been a constant challenge, and a welcome one at that, to combine the expansive universe of Assassin’s Creed with an exciting and engaging moment in time. This adventure is one travelled by the entire history of the brand, and one we still explore today. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate emerged from that core desire and has become the story of two bickering siblings seizing their moment-in-time amidst the Industrial Revolution.

As this is Quebec Studio’s first attempt at a large-scale Assassin’s Creed title, we are fortunate enough to be able to break out of the mold and find our own take on the brand. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s London, our London, features fast-paced mobility in train and carriage travel as well as in the Assassin’s own toolset: the Rope Launcher. Our London is a sort of schizophrenic character partial to both fantastic lives lived by the wealthy and dreadful suffering amongst the poor. Our London is colourful in even the darkest places, from the city’s skyline to its most eccentric characters, whether they be communists, writers, or royalty. We want to share our London with you.

Allow us, then, to extend our hand to you and invite you to join us on this exploration of Assassin’s Creed London in 1868. With this guide in hand, may you have as much fun inside the inventive, vast ecosystem of London, as we had bringing it to life.”
