Location: Charing Cross Station, The Strand

Talk to Charles Darwin (1) to start this memory. He’s located in a field next to the Charing Cross Station in The Strand. Darwin meets Evie for the first time in the opening cinematic. In this memory, you must protect Darwin’s colleague and retrieve a valuable fossil that supports his theory.

Objective: Locate Dr. Schwartz

From Darwin (1), head west toward the green blip (70 meters away) that represents Dr. Schwartz’ general location (2). He’s in the Charing Cross Station. We suggest a rooftop, skylight entry.

Walk along the rafters heading for the northwest side of the train station. Use Eagle Vision to spot the glowing yellow Dr. Schwartz.

Objective: Kidnap Dr. Schwartz

Challenge: Remain undetected

Drop down from the highest level of framework to the lower rafters. This is done from one side of the station or the other; there’s nothing to drop down to when you’re in the middle top of the station.

You can spend some time Air Assassinating the various Templars patrolling the people bridge below or you could just drop and kidnap the doctor. You have time if you want to capture the doctor when he himself is closer to the exit, making your getaway that much easier.

Zipline to the rafters above the doctor and then drop down and capture him near the southwest exit stairwell. Activate Eagle Vision immediately to look for nearby Templars. Go down the stairs here (3).

Objective: Deliver Dr. Schwartz

Challenge: Remain undetected

There are multiple locations where you can drop off Dr. Schwartz, but if you’ve been following our tips, there’s one at the bottom of the stairwell tunnel (3). You only need to walk slowly past one guard on a landing along the way to avoid detection.

Objective: Kill the imposter

When you deliver the doctor at the Reach marker you discover you’ve kidnapped an imposter and he slugs you to get free. Now you must kill the fleeing imposter who has the real Dr. Schwartz’ fossil.

Get out of the fight that ensues when your hostage takes off. Throw a smoke bomb to make it easier to escape the gang of Templars around you.

The imposter flees in a carriage. Get in one yourself and chase him. Shoot him with Quickshot or jump to his rooftop while riding beside him. Execute him.

Objective: Loot imposter

Loot the imposter’s body.

Objective: Speak to Darwin

Return with the fossil to talk to Darwin where you left him (1). You break the news to Darwin that his colleague is most likely dead. He tells you that he was approached by some men that offered to purchase all his research as long as he worked only for them. He obviously refused—he’s Darwin.
