Dreadful Crimes
Dreadful Crimes unlock after you complete Sequence 3. Follow the magnifying glass icon to the nearest murder scene to begin.
In this section, we have created the ultimate spoiler! All you need to know is “who done it” to solve these memories. We list all the clues in each area and tips to get through it, but we also reveal the name of the person to accuse of the crime. Every wrong guess costs you money and experience points when the reward is dished out at the end of the memory. One other point of interest: these replays disappear from the Progress Tracker after you play once. That means you only have one shot to get it right.
Crime Investigation Basics
To find the murderer, use Eagle Vision to search the investigation zones for clues. Clues glow yellow and, when you approach them, prompt an investigate button. Once clues are inspected, they glow white and descriptions appear near that person or object, but only while Eagle Vision is activated. In one case, Eagle Vision even allows you to see a bullet trajectory.
Interrogate every suspect. Unlocking more clues could add additional questions in a previously investigated suspect’s conversation options. So question them more than once if applicable. The suspects have a red exclamation point icon near them when there are matters to be discussed. Sometimes talking to suspects actually opens a larger investigation zone with important clues that could point you in a new investigation direction—one that makes the new evidence undeniable.
Press Options to enter the Progression Log and access your collected evidence. This view option keeps you from running back and forth looking for the Eagle Vision text labels around the clues when you need to review the case.
Accuse the guilty suspect to solve the case and collect your reward. Be careful though, as every false accusation reduces the reward. Or, read on and see “who done it.”
