Materials are used to improve your weapons at the Blacksmith. There are two types of upgrades you can do, Enhancement, which increases their stats (up to +5 for special weapons, up to +10 for normal ones), and Infusion, which allows you to apply a special Gem that grants unique effects to the weapon.
