Ghru
Ghrus are the rank and file enemies of Farron Keep. Pull them over to dry land so that you aren’t fighting in the middle of poisonous muck, and destroy them. You don’t usually have to worry about large groups, so the land itself is your real problem in Farron Keep. Ghru can appear as normal melee foes, Conjurators, or occasionally as Mad Ghru that wildly lunge and attempt to tackle you bodily.
Elder Ghru
Elder Ghrus aren’t seen often, but these massive evolved Ghru are dangerous. The slow, awkward footing of the area makes it really tough to avoid their attacks. The only good news is that they have less health than their size implies. Long combos or cautious ranged fire are both effective ways to kill these horrors.
It’s a bad idea to take on a group of Elder Ghrus (exactly how they appear in a few places). Avoid this by shooting at maximum range to get the attention from one Elder Ghru and kill it separately.
Basilisk
Returning players know exactly what to expect from Basilisks! Lacking normal attacks, these enemies either can’t hurt you at all, or they’ll kill you outright by breathing thick clouds of Cursing gas. Roll past them as they breathe, kill them from behind, and sprint away before their clouds of death kill you.
Rotten Slug
Rotten Slugs appear in large groups, but they’re still a petty threat. Use sweeping weaponry to clear them out. Run away if you have any trouble; Rotten Slugs are quite slow, so they won’t be able to pursue you in a meaningful way.
