Greirat

Greirat is locked in a small cell underneath the High Wall of Lothric. You find this dungeon by going to the Tower on the Wall Bonfire, climbing to the bottom of its tower, and exploring the hallway down there.

To unlock Greirat, look for a Cell Key as you make your way toward the Winged Knight from Tower on the Wall, past the shapechanging cultist, down a ladder, and into a building at the bottom. Search it for the Cell Key.

Unlock Greirat the next time you see him. He’ll ask you to find a friend of his, named Loretta. She’s in the Undead Settlement, supposedly. He’ll hand you a Blue Tearstone Ring to take to her. Agree to do this to win his friendship.

After being freed, Greirat goes to the Firelink Shrine. He’ll be a merchant there. Loretta’s Bones are in the Undead Settlement, not far from the Undead Settlement Bonfire. Bring her bones back to Greirat. He’ll let you keep the ring.

With these things done, Greirat continues as a merchant but also offers to go out into the world. He’ll pillage from various areas to improve his selection. You can prevent him from doing this, or allow him to collect as he sees fit.

Allowing him to pillage the Undead Settlement is safe. If you let him Pillage Irithyll without either Siegward present there, or telling Unbreakable Patches where he went, he will die in Irithyll, leaving his Ashes in the sewer.

If you send him to pillage Lothric Castle, he dies regardless of whether you tell Patches where he went.

If you kill Greirat, he’ll drop Ashes of Greirat and a Bandit’s Knife.
