Karla is a witch who is imprisoned in Irithyll Dungeon. She’s inside a cell that you find when you’re almost all the way to the Profaned City. Get the key to her cell, unlock it, and talk to Karla. If you agree to let her out, she’ll go to the Firelink Shrine and teach powerful, dark magics there.
There are Tomes that can’t be understood by Cornyx. Those are the ones that have to be given to Karla. These dark magics are imposing, but she is able to learn them and teach the spells to your character. Karla can handle the dark magic far better than the frail Irina can, there are no negative consequences to teaching or learning dark magic from her.
If you kill her, Ashes of Karla drop, as well as Karla’s Armor Set.
