If you’re experienced with the series, it shouldn’t be hard to pick up the controller and get back into Dark Souls III. The system has a few changes from the earlier titles, but the general feel of the game and most of the commands are similar. You can probably skip this chapter unless you have any questions or want to re-familiarize yourself with all of the controls in the game.
New players should stop here and take in everything that you can. It takes quite a few fights to really get used to the Dark Souls combat system, and this chapter is likely to cut some time off of your learning curve.
