There’s only one choice for Pyromancies, but the Pyromancy Flame does have the benefit of having a naturally higher base Spell Buff level, and upgrading it at the Pyromancy trainer increases its base power even more.
This makes Pyromancies a solid choice as an offensive magic for characters who may not want to invest heavily in Int or Faith.
While you still need to raise both Int and Faith to use high powered Pyromancy spells, there are a decent number of options for even a dabbler. The Pyromancy Flame itself comes with the Combustion spell ‘built-in’ as its skill, a good spell for a melee fighter.

Pyromancy Flame
Flame catalyst used by pyromancers.
Equip a pyromancy flame to utilize pyromancy. Pyromancies must be attuned at a bonfire before use.
Skill: Combustion
Creates a powerful flame in the wielder’s hand. One of the most basic pyromancies, and for this very reason, the flame created is fierce. Works while equipped in either hand.
Found/Dropped: Cornyx of the Great Swamp
