NPCs

In addition to the many types of enemies you can encounter throughout Lothric, there are also other foes of a more human (or undead) persuasion. You can encounter them out in the wild as allies, enemies, summonable phantoms, or invaders. This table summarizes all of the notable encounters, and any unique drops or special notes about them. Be aware that, like the NPC chapter, reading this may spoil some NPC questlines, use on your first playthrough at your own risk!

Hawkwood the Deserter Adversary Farron Keep Twinkling Dragon Head Stone At the conclusion of Hawkwood’s questline, after you receive Hawkwood’s Swordgrass from the blacksmith.

Yellowfinger Heysel White Phantom Farron Keep — Obtain the gesture, Proper bow, when summoning Yellowfinger Heysel. Sign is just outside the doors that are opened by extinguishing the flames in the swamp. Sign only appears if you have visited and offered a Pale Tongue to Rosaria.
Yellowfinger Heysel Dark Spirit Farron Keep Heysel Pick Xanthous Crown Invades in several locations, only drops items on first death.
Black Hand Gotthard White Phantom Farron Keep — Obtain the gesture, By my sword, when summoning Black Hand Gotthard. Sign is on stairs leading to boss room.
Londor Pale Shade White Phantom Farron Keep — Obtain the gesture, Duel bow, when summoning Londor Pale Shade. Sign is by Farron Keep Perimeter bonfire. Sign only appears if you are friendly with Yuria of Londor.
Londor Pale Shade Dark Spirit Farron Keep/Irithyll of the Boreal Valley Manikin Claws Attacks if you have angered Yuria of Londor. Pale Shade armor appears in Firelink if you defeat both him in both locations.

Greirat of the Undead Settlement Dead Irithyll of the Boreal Valley — If sent to Irithyll Valley alone. If Siegward is present, or if you tell Unbreakable Patches you sent Greirat, Greirat survives and returns with new items. If not, dies in sewers and leaves ashes.
