Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Guide › Single-Player › The Armory

LMGs

The “light” part of “light machine guns” is relative to weapons that are mounted on vehicles. Don’t let the name fool you; these are the heaviest and most powerful weapons in the game.

LMGs are best when having to engage a lot of enemies at long- to medium-range. Their huge clips help hold down a position. Their excellent stopping power can cut through enemy cover, killing even invisible enemies.

When firing an LMG, you should always at least change to the crouched stance. If possible, going prone will make them deadly accurate at range. Firing in bursts helps ensure you don’t unload a clip too quickly. The reload times on LMGs are very long, and can be a problem.

SMGs make the best secondary pairing for LMGs. Keep your SMG loaded, and you can switch to it when you hit a dry clip on your LMG at a bad time. When navigating the battlefield, or narrow corridors, switch to the SMG to move more nimbly.

Scopes

All light machine guns have access to the following scopes:

  • Scout Hybrid
  • Reflex
  • Trojan
  • Thermal
  • VMC
  • ELO

R.A.W.

Full auto energy weapon. Offers a dependable fire rate and high capacity power cell for sustained output.

Accuracy 45
Damage 70
Range 78
Fire Rate 68
Mobility 60
Unique Attachment: Compressor

Allows the RAW to carry double the ammo capacity of normal.

Strategy

The R.A.W. is a solid all-around LMG, demonstrating both the strengths and weaknesses of LMG-type weaponry. It has very high damage and a huge clip, but limits mobility and has an extremely long reload time. If you do go with the R.A.W., you will want a solid performer for your secondary weapon; a Banshee Shotgun or Erad SMG fits the bill.

Mauler

Full auto ballistic rifle. A moderate fire rate yields increased stability for best-in-class accuracy. Ideal for mid- to long-range engagement.

Accuracy 48
Damage 62
Range 72
Fire Rate 78
Mobility 60
Unique Attachment: Volk Burst

Alternate fire mode causes the Volk to fire in three-round bursts, but each shot does more damage.

Accuracy –
Damage +3
Range +15
Fire Rate -10

Strategy

As you can see represented in the stats, the Mauler has an extremely fast fire rate. It also has good damage, but its cone of fire is wide—meaning it’s hard to accurately hit the enemy. The strength of the Mauler, relative to its LMG cousins, is that it is relatively accurate when fired from the hip.

Titan

Full auto energy weapon. Delivers high damage with strong recoil.

Accuracy 81
Damage 55
Range 81
Fire Rate 75
Mobility 60
Unique Attachment: Overcharge

Hotwires your Titan to fire faster with stronger rounds, but adds a short charge-up time.

Accuracy -7
Damage +15
Range –
Fire Rate +10
Mobility -3
Strategy

Don’t let the low-damage stat full you. The Titan makes up for its limited damage with supreme accuracy. If you fire the Titan in bursts, it can fire as accurately as an assault rifle, allowing you to quickly take down enemies with headshots.
