Set on a critically damaged ship floating near the event horizon of a black hole, Mayday has some truly spectacular vistas. Don’t let them distract you from hostile enemy Rigs attempting to gun you down!
Mayday is a three-lane map that’s mostly symmetrical, though there are some differences in the main spawn areas on the top and bottom of the map.
Otherwise, the three lanes are connected with two outer routes you can traverse easily by using your Rig’s wallrunning and thrusters, and one interior room that connects all three of the lanes.
The central room is a serious hotspot, with two elevated vantage points on either side, providing easy posts for snipers and marksmen to rain fire down on anyone below.
Cover is limited in the center of the map, so if you must move through it due to objectives, be ready to engage enemies posted up on the opposite side of the room already aiming at the entrances.
If your opposition is seriously entrenched, use your Rig’s maneuverability to bypass the center and flank them, using the outer wallrun and thruster routes.
