For longtime Call of Duty fans, Terminal is a return to a classic map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
For newer players, Terminal is a different style of level. What was originally an airport is now an interstellar port, but otherwise, the layout remains faithful to the original.
Terminal is a mix of interior areas within the spaceport, a small section in the interior of a docked ship, and the outer loading zone on the ground outside the port.
You can travel freely between the inside and outside of the map, as there are multiple routes in and out of the port.
The deeper interior parts of the port facilities near the security stations are separated from the outside by a few routes that pass through gift shops and a food court.
Firefights tend to erupt in the central hallway that runs up and down the center of the map, and around the shops on either end of it.
Be very careful moving around in the open out on the tarmac outside. You’re lower in elevation and exposed to a lot of sightlines from inside the port or the docked ship nearby.
In the interior areas, there are quite a few bits of cover and corners that can protect you from roaming enemies. Make good use of them as you move from area to area.
