Combat Knife
CQC tactical knife. Standard military issue, employed for fast, quiet, and deadly wetwork.
The Combat Knife is a special secondary that takes the place of your normal melee strikes, transforming them into instantly lethal one-shot kill attacks.
Because you must have the combat knife in hand to take advantage of its offensive power, it requires a bit of thought and preparation to use it effectively. If it’s not already in hand when you enter a CQC space, it’s not going to do you any good.
The Combat Knife has the advantage of being completely silent, and you can potentially defeat some CQC weapons if you happen to literally run into them at point-blank range, but it is not at all a good choice if you have to close the distance against an alert opponent.
Stick to stealthy loadouts and aggressive flanking, or use it as a defensive tool where you lie in wait to ambush an enemy who thinks they are sneaking up on you around a blind corner.
