Rushdown

SMGs are built for aggressive playstyles and aggressive players. They often have larger magazines than ARs, and likewise often higher rates of fire.

Combined with SMGs excellent handling characteristics, and they make for lethal weapons when combined with a fast moving, thruster and slide heavy playstyle.

If you can keep your range of engagement low, you can dominate players with mid to long ranged focused weaponry, and you’re rarely at a disadvantage against anything except a shotgun at ultra-close range.

Some of the more controllable SMGs can be used out to close-medium or even medium range with the right attachments, but keep in mind that you’re often giving up class building points and CQC lethality in exchange for competing with weapons that are typically superior out of the box at medium range.

SMGs aren’t great weapons for long range combat, they tend to .take a lot of shots to kill, their accuracy is poor unless you tap fire shots, and that makes landing the necessary hits to kill even slower and harder.

SMGs pair well with stealthy builds and offensive Rigs, using the perks and Rig setups to get in, and stay in close range combat as often as possible.

On maps with long lines of sight, be mindful of how you move around the map, stick to interior areas and try not to cross open areas without some form of stealth or cover.

SMG Notes
  • All SMGs are fully automatic weapons.
  • The Karma-45 has dual magazines, and reloads faster if you have used less than half of your total ammo capacity. If you use more, the reload takes longer, as you have to reinsert both magazines. If you use all of your ammo, the reload is quite long.
  • The RPR Evo is a modular weapon, and can be switched to AR mode, lowering its rate of fire and improving its accuracy and damage at longer ranges.
  • The ERAD, FHR40, and HVR all have slightly different rates of fire, recoil patterns, and effective ranges. Experiment with each to find your preferred weapon.

Erad

Karma-45

Full auto Ballistic firearm. Built-in dual magazines provide increased ammo capacity.

RPR Evo

Full auto Ballistic firearm. Hold weapon switch to toggle Assault Rifle Mode. An integrated hybrid sight enhances longer range engagements.

HVR
