Grounded takes place in and around the remains of a massive crashed SDF destroyer. One side of the map covers the interior of the ship, while the other is out in the open, with a few small buildings nearby.
The outer areas are rocky—sort of miniature canyons—and have little in the way of cover. Stay alert for enemies coming into view. There aren’t a lot of sharp corners either, mostly naturally curving rock walls, so almost all passage through the rocky areas is dangerous.
It’s possible to fight at a distance by covering those rock lanes, and medium-range setups fare well here. There are plenty of lanes to cover easily and only a few areas where CQC weapons can really be forced (mostly on the edges of the level and in the building interiors).
The B Domination point area near the center of the map is a real killing field, with multiple routes flowing into it and some very obvious shooting vantage points that are likely to be occupied by hostiles constantly. Move through that area cautiously, or avoid it entirely by taking the northern path between the A and C Domination points.
