Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare eGuide Single-Player Campaign Boot Camp

The Retribution

The Retribution is your ship, and the main hub between most missions. (You will not have access to the Retribution between the first three missions or the last two.) It grants access to several extra features the game has to offer.

The Ops Map

On the bridge, you can select the upcoming mission. Unlike in previous Call of Duty games, several operations are optional. You can decide when you want to engage them. Completing side missions unlocks attachments and perks, which benefit your character. Some unique and useful Heavy Weapons like the Eraser and Ballista EM3 can only be found in optional Ship Assault missions.

Newscasts

In between missions, you frequently get news updates beamed into the ship. To view the newscasts, check out the big-screen TV just to the south of the bridge. You can select from all unlocked newscasts to get a good idea of how the war is changing, based on the missions you have completed.

Most Wanted Board

In the captain’s quarters, a deck of cards is displayed on the wall to represent the most infamous members of SetDef command. As you find and kill members of the SDF, their portraits and bios will appear on this wall.

Captain’s Computer

Use the computer to view After Action Reports on operations you have completed. You can also find out more about the other members of the Retribution’s crew and other navy personnel.

The Armory

Griff runs the armory on the Retribution and will keep it stocked with the latest tech and weaponry. Almost every mission starts with a visit to him for outfitting. Griff will always provide a recommended loadout, which may or may not be the best setup for each level. Take a look at the campaign sections for detailed armory recommendations.

For more extensive details on each item available, check out the campaign armory section.

Virtual Reality

Want to try out a loadout before deploying on a mission? Use Griff’s Virtual Reality to run through a quick simulation to try out the weapons you have selected. This is a great way to get a feel for the differences between weapons and try out some of your Tactical and Lethal Grenades—without worrying about being shot at.
