Sights

Reflex

Precision red dot sight.

The most basic of all optics, the Reflex provides a simple housing for a plain dot sight. Easy to use, the Reflex is a good choice for any medium-range engagements, where the scope helps to frame your target cleanly.

Scout Hybrid

Range Increasing Combat Optic with enhanced zoom.

The Scout is an effective ranged scope, giving you superior zoom over the Reflex, as well as the ability to make use of side-mounted ironsights on your weapon.

This gives you the flexibility to have a clear view of the battlefield and lower zoom level with the irons, or a higher level of magnification for more distant targets.

VMC

Variable Magnification Compensator sight. Hold Weapon Switch to toggle between zoomed/recoil-stabilized and normal fire modes.

The VMC is a flexible hybrid sight, capable of zooming in and slightly reducing recoil.

Keep in mind that while the VMC is flexible, you can easily get yourself into trouble if you have the wrong zoom level selected when you engage an enemy at close or even medium range.

Pay careful attention to your surroundings, and where you expect to encounter enemies, and make sure you have the correct scope selected before you expose yourself to enemy sightlines.Compared to the Scout, the VMC has slightly more zoom than the Scout’s ironsights, and slightly less zoom than the Scout’s primary sight.

Experiment with both hybrid sights to determine which you prefer. Both give you the flexibility of fighting at close-medium to medium-long distance with a comfortable field of view, but the differences in their appearance make selection a matter of personal preference.

Trojan

Tracking optic that outlines enemies, even through smoke.

A powerful awareness assisting sight, the Trojan highlights enemy targets, picking them out of darkness or obscuring cover.

The Trojan does have a relatively limited view compared to some of the other optics, and the Cold Blooded perk can nullify its highlighting capability.

Those minor weaknesses aside, the Trojan is a very powerful sight to use on weapons you intend to fight with at medium to long range, especially on maps with poor visibility or many darkened vantage points for shooters.

Thermal

Magnified optic that shows enemy heat signatures.

The Thermal sight outlines enemy heat signatures, giving a bright appearance to any target in view. Distinct from the Trojan, the Thermal sight affords a brighter highlight, but it also provides a more significant zoom.

The Thermal sight works best if you intend to fight only at medium to long range. It is difficult to use at shorter distances, so stick to marksman weapons when using it.

ELO

Emitted Light Optic with a floating, illuminated reticle.

The ELO is the cleanest and most open of all the optics. With a floating point and no obscuring housing, it is even clearer than the Trojan.

The ELO isn’t a good sight for long-range combat, but if you prefer using an optic to iron sights, it’s excellent for CQC and short to mid-range engagements.
