Mission Strategy
The strike begins at the refueling station for the A-Jak Cutters. At first, all seems calm. There are five A-Jak Cutters that need to be destroyed: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, and Echo. Target any A-Jak while keeping maximum distance. Use your Heavy Cannons and the lock to be sure to pummel the engines. When the first ship is destroyed, several Skelter squads appear, ready for battle.
Surviving this mission is about properly prioritizing incoming targets. Skelters are the immediate threat here, so avoid the A-Jak floating around the area and focus on downing Skelters.
Find the incoming Skelters on your radar and try to down a couple as they fly in to “rescue” their fleet. Now, stay out of range of the A-Jak Cutters and engage the Skelters one by one. If one of the pilots gets a lock on you, use the architecture of the refueling station to evade their pursuit. Make quick turns and use your Afterburners to lose the tail.
When the Skelters are defeated, proceed back to the other four A-Jak Cutters. Now, start taking out the A-Jak Cutters one by one. Your squad helps with the attack, automatically blowing one of the Cutters without your help.
Once you have cleared four out of five A-Jak Cutters, two SDF Aces appear. Destroy the A-Jak first. You have several seconds before the Aces arrive—more than enough time to pummel the last survivor with your cannons.
With the last A-Jak in ruins, turn your attention to the Skelters. Separate the Aces from each other. Don’t let them gang up on you! When following the Aces, there is no need to lock onto their positions. Just do your best to track and hit them with gunfire. Missiles are useless against them.
When you defeat both Ace pilots, return to the Retribution for docking back into the net.
