Mission Strategy

The heart of this battle is in the middle of a debris field. It’s not a good idea to go diving into the debris. There are several Skelter squads, and the debris makes engaging them very dangerous. Instead, hang back near the Retribution. Wait for some of the Skelters to break off and engage you.

When you’ve cleared the aggressive Skelters, cautiously move toward the debris field. Use missiles to quickly lock and destroy the Skelters. Avoid using locks when chasing a Skelter for extended periods of time, as the lock may steer you into some of the wreckage.

The A-Jaks and destroyer are placed far apart in the debris field. This makes it easy to engage them one at a time. Move through each, carefully staying at range for your cannons and avoiding taking too much damage from the cruisers.

When you’ve wiped out all the big ships a lone Ace arrives on the battlefield. Time for a one-on-one dogfight. Just get behind the Ace, and don’t let up. He leads you on a chase through the battlefield. If he starts weaving through the debris, let go of the lock and follow him manually.
