Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Guide › Multiplayer › Equipment

Overview

Equipment consists of usable grenades and tools, the majority of which are single use. You can carry up to four such items, at most two each from the Lethal and Tactical categories.

The first Lethal or Tactical you equip consumes one of your class creation points, but the second takes two, so only double up if you’re going to get maximum use out of carrying an extra item...

The Warfighter Rig’s trait Resupply comes in handy for any equipment-focused build, giving you the ability to resupply your Lethals and Tacticals from enemies killed with non-explosive weaponry.

Likewise, the Stryker Rig’s traits and Centurion super are all useful for an equipment-focused class.

When you’re fighting against heavy enemy equipment usage—particularly in objective modes as an objective focused player—.the Engineer, Blast Shield, and Tac Resist perks are all useful.

Ambidextrous

With the prevalence of dual-wielded weaponry and .off-handed equipment usage, your future soldier is quite skilled with making use of both hands at all times.

One interesting and cool touch in the game: if you are using a weapon that requires both hands to rechamber between shots (say, a bolt-action sniper or a pump-action shotgun) and you are holding a grenade in your off hand (whether to cook it or to time a toss), you cannot finish the reload until you release the grenade.

You can put equipment that isn’t cookable away by tapping the Weapon Swap button, or release it and you automatically finish reloading the weapon.

This is a pretty edge-case situation, and not something that’s likely to interfere with you in combat. Mostly, it’s just a nice detail!
