Infinite Warfare introduces a new innovation for all Lethals. When you deploy a Lethal Grenade, it will report on your HUD the amount of damage you have inflicted on nearby enemies. Enemies injured will show their position. Enemies killed will also appear with a position.
Frag Grenade
High-powered fragmentation grenade. Employs a two-stage explosive that releases flammable gas before detonating.
Strategy
Frag Grenades have been a Call of Duty standby since the first game. As with previous entries, you can hold down the Lethal button to “cook” the grenade to prepare it to be thrown. When you do this, a timer replaces your crosshair to give you an idea of how much time you have before the grenade goes off. Always cook the grenades for a few seconds before throwing them. This will make it impossible for enemies to run from the grenade before it goes off.
Shock Grenade
The Shock Grenade will neutralize threats in a tight radius and stun threats in an expanded radius. Especially effective against robotic combatants.
Strategy
The EMP or Shock Grenade will devastate both human and drone enemies in its blast radius. EMPs cannot be cooked, but they explode as soon as they land, after a throw. EMP Grenades create a field that stays up for several seconds. Drones take more damage from EMPs, but humans caught near the epicenter of the blast will take lethal damage, as well.
Seeker-Bot
A small deployable robot that seeks out enemies and self-destructs.
Strategy
The Seeker-Bot or “Seekers” are small drones that charge up the battlefield to automatically cling onto soldiers and detonate a deadly explosion. The explosion doesn’t just kill the soldier it attaches to; it has the potential to also kill any nearby enemies.
You can see which enemy the Seeker has targeted by the red outline that appears in your HUD.
If you deploy a Seeker and there are no enemies nearby, it follows you around until an enemy comes into range. Seeker-Bots do have a medium-range limit, meaning it won’t be able to get snipers. However, it’s very useful in almost all combat situations.
Anti-Gravity Grenade
Deploys an array of anti-gravity generators. Lifts enemy soldiers into the air, exposing them to gunfire.
Strategy
Anti-Gravity Grenades are a completely new type of grenade that can be very effective in battle. Like EMPs, Anti-Gravs can’t be cooked. The Anti-Grav instantly activates when it hits the ground. It deploys a large, circular field of energy that lifts enemies off the ground.
Enemies caught in an Anti-Grav are helpless (but they will recover fully if you don’t kill them before it wears out).
Anti-Gravs are most effective at stopping charging enemies or removing foes from cover.
