Earl’s Gator Village is the setting for this fight against the odds, and your team is at the edge of the river, where the village buildings and wharf can be used defensively. Be sure to read the Swamp Fever chapter on Earl’s Gator Village for a hugely comprehensive plan on surviving a Horde attack at this location.
Combat usually begins with the detonation of carefully placed explosive devices on the main thoroughfare so that the initial waves of Infected catch fire (1). Don’t stray too close to the water’s edge, especially with Charger s and Jockey s about, or you may be knocked into the water and die instantly.
Instead, use the grassy area (2) to strafe about, as well as the lower roof of the two-story building (3). Set fire to any Tank s and Charger s, watch for Smoker s that will try to strangle you from above, and take a trip to the ferry (4) only if you have a chaperone, as you’re hemmed in here. In fact, your chances of survival lengthen if you move into the village itself, away from the watery dangers.
