Lob-Star

Lob-Star

Star Bright, Star Fight!

Character Stats

Maximum Health  240
Speed  60
Armor  30
Critical Hit  40
Elemental Power  46

Hailing from the depths of the undersea kingdom of Star City, Lob-Star was the head chef of his own five-star restaurant, often cooking for the King Fish himself. However, few knew that Lob-Star had secretly been training in a mysterious art of fighting known only to a few crustaceans. For a while, Lob-Star was able to keep the peace while still keeping his hidden identity. But when a giant Leviathan threatened to swallow up Lob-Star’s guests and capture the King Fish himself, he had no choice but to swim into action. Calling on every trick his mysterious training had taught him, Lob-Star defeated the Leviathan and drove it out of Star City. For risking everything, Lob-Star was recruited by Master Eon to join the Skylanders. Now, as part of the Trap Team, he uses his powerful Traptanium Throwing Stars to serve up defeat to anyone who threatens Skylands!

Basic Attack Notes

Starshooter

Long-range projectile attack that is faster when Boiled.

Boiling Temper

Generate a steam blast and when held (boiling) increases speed and power, however using steam reduces duration.

Lob-Star Roll

A dashing roll the plows through enemies and becomes Lob-Star Express that knocks enemies away.

Upgrade Paths

Shooting Star

Charge to become Boiled and Super Stars becomes a devastating long-range attack. The added speed and damage are great on their own but the slicing effect can cut up entire groups of enemies in no time. The other two upgrades require charging and make it effective to use both at the same time. Twice the Starpower releases a single massive attack while Star Defense provides a protective shield of stars. The circling stars from Star Defense can also be very effective using the Lob-Star Roll to add extra damage when dashing into enemies.

Hard Boiled

Try to always stay in the Boiled state to take advantage the two new steam upgrades. Getting Steamed! is a passive form of retaliation to damage foes that land a blow. Self E-Steam is an absolute must because it increases all steam abilities as well as consuming less Boling Power while doing so. These combined powers allow Lob-Star to become a tank and attack at melee range using more powerful steam attacks for a lot longer. Full Steam ahead adds a burning trail of steam, making this charge attack an effective way to retreat or dash into enemies while burning them up.

Soul Gem Ability

The Boiler: 4000

Improve Boiling Temper attacks. Prerequisite: Find Lob-Star’s Soul Gem in CH 6: Rainfish Riviera

Continue charging Boiling Temper to its limits to perform a jumping slam attack that does massive damage to any foes nearby. Lob-Star remains Boiled after the assault and is ready to deal with any foes that can withstand the initial assault.

Basic Attacks

Starshooter

Press Attack 1 to shoot Traptanium Stars. Shoot faster when Boiled.

Boiling Temper

Press Attack 2 to release a steam blast. Hold Attack 2 to boil up with rage, increasing speed and power.

Upgrades

Lob-Star Roll: 500

Press Attack 3 to dash and evade attacks. Go faster and further while Boiled.

Sharp Shot: 700
