Epically strong and heroically competitive, Thunderbolt grew up on legendary Mount Cloudpierce. Every year, his people held a contest to determine who would wield the Storm Sword—a legendary blade with the power to change the seasons in Skylands. To Thunderbolt, this would be a great honor. But on the day he won the contest and was about to be presented with the sword, a Frost Mage snatched it and plunged all of Skylands into a wintery deep-freeze. Undaunted, Thunderbolt bravely took chase. Riding twin bolts of chained lightning, he overtook the mage, reclaimed the sword, and restored balance to the weather systems in Skylands. For his heroic actions, Thunderbolt was made a member of the Trap Team, and he now uses his Traptanium Storm Sword to strike evil at every turn!

Basic Attack Notes

Traptanium Thundersword

Press Attack 1 three times to perform a combo. Jumping Attack 1 is an overhead Traptanium Thundersword swing.

Storm Clouds

Thunderbolt can summon up to three Storm Clouds at a time. Can’t be done while jumping.

Hurricane Pain

Thunderbolt can’t move while creating a Twister. Only one Twister can exist at a time.

Upgrade Paths

Power Conductor

The Power Conductor Path begins by adding two combo attacks and ends by strengthening all Traptanium Thundersword combos. Direct Current ends with the Traptanium Thundersword buried in the ground, damaging nearby enemies. Thunder Thrust looks similar to Thunderbolt’s initial combo, but is slightly quicker. Just Add Lightning changes the look of the Traptanium Thundersword and allows you to extend the last swing of each combo by holding down the Attack button.

I of the Storm

The lightning attacks from Traptanium Thundersword swings and Storm Clouds hit harder and travel farther with the initial upgrade in the I of the Storm Path. With the Exploding Clouds upgrade, you can cause a Storm Cloud to explode with two or three swings with the Traptanium Sword.

Soul Gem Ability

Lightning Rain!: 4000

Hold Attack 1 and then press Attack 2 to call in a lightning storm. Prerequisite: Find Thunderbolt’s Soul Gem in Chapter 12: Time Town

Save Lightning Rain! for areas filled with lower-health enemies. The lightning storm deals considerable damage overall, but individual lightning strikes aren’t exceptionally strong.
