The Night Tower
After Buzz finishes his introductory speech, drop off the ledge near the coins and Troll Radio. The lower ledge has a doorway and a line of coins leading down to a Traptanium Crystal. Destroy the Traptanium Crystal to reveal a Treasure Chest. Use the Bounce Pad to return to the doorway and go through it.
Night Side Storeroom
The door leads to Night Side Storeroom, which is filled with destructible objects and En Fuego Chompies. After every En Fuego Chompy has been defeated (and you unlocked Skystones Smash in Chapter 5: Chef Zeppelin), T-Bone challenges you to a game of Skystones Smash. Return to The Night Tower and walk up the nearby stairs. The Spyclopters Buzz mentioned first appear nearby. Avoid their searchlights by staying close to the wall or between the pools of light. Skylanders caught in a Spyclopter's light are returned to a nearby restart point. The area beyond the second Spyclopter is The Prime Tower.
The Prime Tower & Bumper Range
Walk past the glowing doorway (it's a one-way trip to Bumper Range, so don't go through it yet!) and fall through the line of floating coins. Collect the pile of coins and the Winged Sapphire. Use the Bounce Pad to return to the higher ledge and enter Bumper Range.
Buzz appears again and explains what you need to do to open the passage to the next area. Go to the right side of the room and follow the trail of coins. Avoid the spear traps and push the glowing ball down and into the channel to the left of the switch. Use the switch to send the ball around the track. Push the ball into the doohingus Buzz pointed out to open the door to Joyia's Athenaem.
Joyia's Athenaem
To knock down the Battle Gate here, you must defeat En Fuego Chompies, Ooglers, and Plant Warriors. You can't get to the gift box in the middle of the room until after you talk with Tessa and complete Nightshade's quest. The Night Sky Walk is on the other side of the downed Battle Gate.
The Night Sky Walk
The Night Sky Walk is guarded by a half-dozen Spyclopters. To avoid these sentries, either walk carefully on the narrow walls or hop into the alcoves with armor when a Spyclopter draws near. Go down the left branch of the Sky Walk and open the Treasure Chest.
The right branch has more Spyclopters than the left, so you need to watch out for them. Move past the first path on the left (it goes to the Garden Tower) and look for a short path on the right just beyond it.
Knight Mare’s Soul Gem (The Shadow Realm) is at the end of that path. Backtrack to The Garden Tower.
The Garden Tower
A Battle Gate-blocked Bounce Pad blocks the path through The Garden Tower. A diverse group of enemies attacks here, including En Fuego Chompies, Plant Warriors, and Raven Lobbers. When the Bounce Pad is clear, jump up to the tower and walk around to the back. Collect the Legendary Gargoyle, then go through the doorway in the front of the tower to Flipper Reach.
Flipper Reach & Hall of Trials
Use the switch near Buzz to lower a glowing ball. Push the ball to the right side of room, near a set of glowing arrows pointing toward a moving ramp. Use the switch in the corner near the arrows to launch the ball up the ramp. Time your shot so the ball flies up to hit the glowing button on the wall, which lowers the beams blocking access to a few piles of valuables.
With the ball on the next level, move it in front of glowing arrows and use the swtich near center of room to pop it up and over to the middle landing. Push the ball into the hole to open the door to the Hall of Trials.
You must create a path for the light beam to reach a crystal at the opposite end of a long room. Use the first switch once, then start moving blocks out of the beam's path. You don't need to move every block, so only move the ones that stop the beam's progress. Use the switch at back of the room twice to drop the gate (you may need to move one last block as well) and clear the way to The Firefly Gardens.
The Firefly Gardens
There's a Magic Gate near the entrance to The Firefly Gardens. Before you move toward it, turn around and check with Persephone if you need to upgrade your Skylander. The Spyclopters don't patrol the pools of water, so you can avoid their searchlights there. However, there are En Fuego Chompies to deal with in the pools, and you must cross the courtyard to reach The Eventide Walk, an area blocked off with sliding blocks.
Destroy the Traptanium Crystal at the end of the path to reveal a Bounce Pad, which sends your Skylander up to The North Star Tower.
Eventide Walk
Slide the leftmost block back as far as it can go to move the remaining blocks and clear the way to the Story Scroll and a pile of coins.
The North Star Tower
The Bounce Pad from The Firefly Gardens sends your Skylander to the top of this tower. Open the Villain Stash and grab the coins from the smaller tower. A small group of enemies appears when your Skylander hops down to the larger tower. Back down in The Firefly Gardens, look for a Light Gate and a doorway that is a one-way trip to Multi-Ball Expanse.
Multi-Ball Expanse
Previous pinball-themed rooms required some reasoning, but not the Multi-Ball Expanse. Three balls appear at the same time and you must use the switches near the entrance to control flippers and knock the balls into each of the three holes. The balls are too heavy for your Skylander to move, so you must rely on the flippers and your own good aim. When all three balls are in place, the doorway to The Dark Vault is revealed.
The Dark Vault
The Dark Vault holds the Dark Eye of Tomorrow, but before you can claim it, Nightshade introduces himself and runs off! Before you can begin the pursuit, you must defeat a few waves of enemies to get past a Battle Gate. The early waves are softer enemies, such as En Fuego Chompies. The last wave includes Raven Lobbers and a pair of Hoodsickles!
The Lower Gardens
When the Battle Gate vanishes, jump through the smashed window to reach The Lower Gardens. Jump over the laser wires to avoid taking damage. Run up the steps and open the Treasure Chest before you return to the main path and tackle Nightshade.
