Quest Preparation
There are two quests here, both for Dark enemies and both require return trips through Monster Marsh. Eye Scream's quest is near the start of the level but you don’t capture her until later in the level. The other quest is for Fisticuffs, who doesn’t appear until later in the adventure.
Haunted Wreck & Haunted Approach
Destroy the Traptanium crystal near the starting point to reveal a Winged Sapphire. Look for a Troll Radio near Gomper, who offers help about where to go next. There’s a Soul Gem just out of reach, but you’ll get it soon.
Move the wooden blocks out of the path and destroy the wooden gate beyond them. The first wooden ramp leads to Cali and a quest for Eye Scream.
The iron gate is locked, but Hedwick speaks up to help out. Go past the destructible wooden gate (it leads to Spirestone Mausoleum). Push the boxes to clear the path to the Undead Gate and expose a low spot in the ground. Push a box into the hole and move the other boxes in place to make a ramp back up to the Haunted Wreck. Gather the coins and pick up Krypt King’s Soul Gem (Healing Hack).
Spirestone Cliffs & Spirestone Grotto
Look for a gap in the stones along the side of the cliff and step over the edge. Go inside the doorway and destroy the fence. Smash the fence in the back to reveal a Treasure Chest. Use the Bounce Pad outside to return to the top.
Spirestone Graveyard
The way ahead splits. One way goes to an Undead Gate, the other to a Soul Gem. Fist Bump’s Soul Gem (Riding the Rails) is behind a Lock Puzzle. To open the gate, go left, left, up, left, up, right, and down to douse the Lock Master in water. Go up, left, left, up, left, up, and left to get to the exit. The Super Bounce Pad goes to Hungry Isle.
Hungry Isle
Hungry Isle is Chomp Chest’s home turf. After defeating him, use the Super Bounce Pad to return to Spirestone Graveyard.
Spirestone Mausoleum
Destroy the wooden gate in Haunted Approach and walk over the bridge. Hedwick is locked behind a Battle Gate. Defeat the tiny eyeballs and other stitched-together enemies to free him.
Windmill Hill & Supply Room
Join Hedwick at the now opened iron gates. You must cross the bridge, but two enemies across the way make the journey hazardous. Avoid or destroy the barrels, then take out the barrel-rolling Eye Screams. Go through the opened door to reach the Supply Room, where you must defeat Millington in Skystones Smash to remove the wooden stakes blocking the path.
Follow the winding path upward and avoid the windmill blades. Look for a Story Scroll behind the windmill at the top. Drop carefully to the ledge below. The doorway leads to Secret Basement.
Secret Basement & The Little House on the Misty Marshes
Use the Troll Radio and get upgrades from Persephone if you can afford them. Return to the top of the hill and pull the lever to lower the platform. Jump on the platform and ride it down to The Little House on the Misty Marshes.
The path ahead is blocked by a Battle Gate. The guardians of the Battle Gate are an odd mix of bizarre creatures, including tiny eyeballs and an Eye Scream. Clear out the enemies and the Battle Gate falls away.
The Misty Marshes
Cross the bridge and talk with Hedwick. Complete the Lock Puzzle to free Marsha. Start by going right and up to get the coin. Next, go down, right, and up to hit the drop of water. Finally, go down, left, up, and left to clear the first board. For the second puzzle, go left, right, down, and up to get the coins. Go down, right, left, right, down, right, left, down, up, and down to break the lock.
Marsha’s field protects Skylanders who stay within it. If you manage to collect 20 coins while following Marsha here, you earn the No Coins Left Behind achievement.
When Marsha pauses on dry land, walk away from the direction she faces. Push the stone blocks to form a safe path above the water. Collect the coins and Legendary Golden Frog here. Return to Marsha and continue the trip. Her next stop is at a Dark Gate. The trip ends at a Traptanium crystal. Destroy it to reveal a Super Bounce Pad that sends you to Empty Isle.
Empty Isle & Village Approach
Empty Isle is a fight against the mysterious Eye Scream.
Use the Super Bounce Pad to return to the Village Approach. Push the stones to clear the way to the enemies guarding a Battle Gate. The early enemies are a warm-up act for Eye Five, another trappable enemy. When he's out of the way, destroy the Traptanium crystal to open the way to Smuggler's Hideout.
Smuggler’s Hideout
The smugglers trusted a Lock Puzzle to keep their Treasure Chest safe. Bad idea! Go down, left, up, right, left, down, right, up, right, up, left, and down to get all the coins and hit the water. Go up, left, down, left, up, down, left, and up to reach the exit.
Return to Village Approach and go up the ramp. Two sets of barrel-rolling enemies try to stop your progress to Sleepy Village. Avoid or destroy the barrels, then take out the Eye Screams doing the rolling. Wake up Winkle outside the gates to gain access to Sleepy Village.
Sleepy Village, Grocer Jack’s & “Boots” the Cobbler
Near the village's entrance, Smeekens has a quest for Fisticuffs.
Wake up Rip and destroy the gate behind him. The house next to him is Grocer Jack’s, where you can play Skystones Smash against Bing. Destroy the Traptanium crystal to reveal the Villain Stash. Head up the wooden ramp and enter the first building on the left.
Check on the Troll Radio before waking Boots. Head back outside and start waking up the Mabu. Follow the trail of coins to find them. Dreamcatcher makes the task more difficult with her taunts and random destruction of the area. Don’t forget to grab the nearby Treasure Chest.
Arena Battle Against Dreamcatcher
This is a long battle against many waves of enemies. If you have any magic items, keep them near your Traptanium Portal so you can put them to use quickly! Consider putting Broccoli Guy in your Villain slot for his healing ability. It won’t be easy to switch to him and set down a healing circle, but it could keep your Skylander healthy enough to finish the fight without switching.
None of the enemies you’re facing here are new, but Dreamcatcher keeps things lively by ripping apart the ground and putting it back together. She also continues her taunts.
After you defeat all the enemies, everyone regroups back at Skylanders Academy.
Back at Skylanders Academy
Go to the Main Hall and talk to Brock, who has a new Arena for you to try out. Go past Mags and the slot machine to reach Academy Defense Tower, which has coins to collect and Troll Radio.
Talk to Cali to head out for the next destination, Telescope Towers.
