Born to a race of tree elves who were protectors of the rich Arcadian Timberland, Bushwack was supposed to be a ranger. But being the smallest of his clan, he was sent deep into the woods by the Chieftain to study with Arbo, known for helping the Skylanders rebuild the Core of Light. The tree spirit looked beyond Bushwhack’s size, and seeing that he had the heart of a warrior, taught him many secrets. Arbo even gifted him with an enchanted axe. So when a legion of Lumberjack Trolls invaded the forest and overpowered the elves, it was Bushwhack who set out to stop them. Drawing out the trolls, he used his enchanted axe and knowledge of the forest to capture them and destroy their tree cutting machines. Afterward, Bushwhack not only was made a ranger, but a Skylander. As part of the Trap Team, he now uses his Traptanium axe to whack evil wherever it grows!

Basic Attack Notes

Traptanium Axe

Can perform a combo by holding the last attack and gets an upgrade leaving a thorny trail that damages enemies.

Mystic Acorn

A long-range attack that stuns and can explode when upgraded with Nut Grenade!

Headbash

A powerful leaping attack that damages anything in the immediate area.

Upgrade Paths

Axe Avenger

All the powers on this path upgrade the Traptanium Axe, and An Axe to Grind is a basic damage boost. However, the most impressive upgrades are from Combo Attacks. Head First is the best choice against really tough enemies that are clustered together. The Spin and Slash combo ends in a spinning assault that can be steered slightly to guide it into more enemies. Go Nuts! further improves the Spin and Slash combo with Mystic Acorns that shoot out in all directions. This combo is the best choice to use when surrounded by a group of enemies.

Armor Awesomeness

Bushwhack can heal himself at a good pace using Bush’s Shack. The healing hut does very little damage, and he is still susceptible to harm, so perform healing in between battles. Primal Warrior further reduces damage and adds more power to Headbash. After increasing damage from the Primal Warrior, Spring Forward becomes even more effective by adding a damaging dash that hurts anything in its path. The Traptanium Axe is still a good weapon for quick attacks, but the dash and heavy damage from Headbash are a pretty obvious choice for dealing a lot of damage even at mid-range.

Soul Gem Ability

Timber!: 4000

Jump and hold Attack 1 to plant a giant tree, which is then cut down to smash whatever’s below. Prerequisite: Find Bushwhack’s Soul Gem in CH 3: Chompy Mountains

Create a giant tree with an in-air slam attack, and when it is cut down, it does devastating damage to whatever the tree lands on. The attack takes a while to launch, but the massive damage and large area of effect is worth the wait!

Basic Attacks

Traptanium Axe

Press Attack 1 to swing the Traptanium Axe.

Press Attack 1,Attack 1, HOLD Attack 1 for a combo attack.

Mystic Acorn

Press Attack 2 to throw a Mystic Acorn that stuns enemies.

Upgrades

Headbash: 500

Press Attack 3 for a powerful Headbash move, damaging anything nearby.

Nut Grenade!: 700

Acorns now explode on impact, doing more damage.

In a Nut Shell: 900

Get some new armor, taking reduced damage.

Thorn Trail: 1200

Traptanium Axe attack now leaves a trail of thorns that damage enemies.

Axe Avenger

Improve Traptanium Axe attacks.

An Axe to Grind: 1700

Traptanium Axe attack does extra damage.

Combo Attacks: 2200

Press Attack 1,Attack 1, HOLD Attack 2 for the Spin and Slash combo.

Press Attack 1,Attack 1, HOLD Attack 3 for Head First combo.

Go Nuts!: 3000

Keep holding Attack 2 after a Spin and Slash combo to shoot nuts in all directions. Prerequisite: An Axe to Grind

Armor Awesomeness

Improve armor for protection and attack.

Bush’s Shack: 1700

Hold Attack 1 to create a leafy hut for protection and healing.

Primal Warrior: 2200

Get new armor, taking reduced damage and doing extra damage with the Headbash attack.

Spring Forward: 3000

Hold Attack 3 to dash forward and perform a super Headbash attack.
