Mega Blasters

Rapid-fire laser eye blasts are low in damage but extremely quick.

Tactical Bladegears

Spinning gears that ricochet off walls and continue to damage enemies. Two are shot at a time and they spread out as they travel.

Thruster Flight

When airborne Drobit has increased speed and armor. The attack button can be held to allow him to hover without changing direction.

Upgrade Paths

Master Blaster

Initially the eye blasts do low damage, but they fire very quickly. This path is focused on the Mega Blasters and makes them one of the best projectile attacks. Dendrite Focus Crystals give a direct increase in damage. Antimatter Charges boost damage by damaging nearby enemies with exploding beams. The final upgrade, Quadratic Blasters, allows lasers to be shot from the wings as well, giving Drobit four shots at once. Although the damage from each laser is not very high, the incredible speed and number of beams give him a high efficiency of damage per second.

Clockwork Dragon

This path is focused exclusively on Tactical Bladegears. Depleted Uranium Bladegears is a straightforward damage increase. Explosive Bladegears is similar to Antimatter Charges by adding damage to nearby enemies from contact explosions. Even though these both add damage perhaps the most important upgrade is Tri-spread Bladegear that shoots three at once. The reason this last ability is so crucial is that although the blades ricochet they are initially hard to aim. With three Bladegears shot at the same time it is a lot easier to hit your targets. Remember that they spread out over time so at long distances they can entirely miss their mark.

Soul Gem Ability

Afterburners: 4000

Fly faster and afterburners damage enemies.

It’s hard to hit the enemies directly with the Afterburners once you take off. The trick is to target them before you take off and then take flight to inflict plenty of damage. This is a great way not only to escape a bad situation, but also to dish out some serious damage on the way out.

Mega Blasters

Press Attack 1 to shoot rapid-fire laser blasts out of your eyes.

Tactical Bladegears

Press Attack 2 to deploy Bladegears that ricochet off of walls and pummel enemies.

Upgrades

Thruster Flight: 500

Hold Attack 3 to have Drobit fly. Drobit gets increased speed and armor while flying.

Galvanized Bladegears: 700

Bladegears do increased damage.

Axon Focus Crystals: 900

Eye Blasters do increased damage.

Hover Mode: 1200

Hold Attack 3 to have Drobit hover. Prerequisite: Thruster Flight

Master Blaster

Further develop Drobit’s Blaster attacks.

Dendrite Focus Crystals: 1700

Eye Blasters do even more increased damage.

Antimatter Changes: 2200

Eye Blaster beams explode on contact, doing damage to enemies.

Quadratic Blasters: 3000

Press Attack 1 to shoot lasers out of your wings as well.

Clockwork Dragon

Further develop Drobit’s Bladegear attacks.

Bladegears do even more increased damage.

Explosive Bladegears: 2200

Bladegears explode on contact, doing damage to nearby enemies.
